Crystal Palace enquiry made for Macnelly Torres

Crystal Palace are to make a bid for Colombian international attacking midfielder Macnelly Torres, according to reports from the South American country. Torres, currently playing for Al-Shabab in Saudi Arabia, has been linked with a host of Premier League sides.

  • Ian Holloway, the Palace manager, is hopeful a deal can be wrapped up for the tricky midfielder in the coming weeks. It is understood that Palace want to bring Torres in on a loan transfer initially, but would have the first option on a permanent deal.<br />

    Everton too were linked with Torres, but Crystal Palace are in pole position to secure his signature.<br />

    Torres has been capped 31 times for his country.
