Everton linked with Tonny Vilhena transfer move

14 July 2013 - 06:06

Feyenoord winger Tonny Vilhena is one of a number of players interesting Everton manager Roberto Martinez. Vilhena burst onto the scene in the Eredivisie last year, later becoming a first team regular for the Dutch side.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • The 18-year-old, who has just progressed through the ranks to play for the Netherlands' under-21 side, played in 27 Eredivisie games and scored 4 goals last year. Most impressive was his creative role where the player also made 8 assists.

The likes of Ajax and PSV Eindhoven have been monitoring Vilhena closely, but the player is a Feyenoord fan and has reportedly told his agent that he has no plans to join a rival in Holland. There has been interest from abroad in Spain as well, as Valencia and Real Sociedad are also reportedly monitoring the player.

According to reports, Everton have made an enquiry for Vilhena and are hopeful that a deal can be agreed with Feyenoord in time for the new season. The player is valued at around 5 million Euros.
