Fulham have joined the race to sign Tottenham midfielder Tom Huddlestone, after a proposed move to Sunderland fell through due to the player's hefty salary demands.
It is understood that Fulham manager Martin Jol wants to bring in the 26-year-old to shore up his midfield ahead of the new season, and will match Spurs' £5m pricetag to secure his signature.<br />
Huddlestone had been in contact with his agent and Sunderland representatives last week, but a deal fell through due to an unexpected hitch.
