Cardiff City close to signing John Brayford

25 July 2013 - 18:25

Newly promoted Premier League side Cardiff City are on the verge of signing Derby County defender John Brayford after the Championship team accepted their latest offer close to be around £2 million.

  • Arsenal linked with new shotstopper as backup to Raya
  • Juventus and Roma to battle for 20yo Arsenal star

  • The 25 year old defender, who has another year left on his current contract at Derby, is believed to be currently undergoing a medical at Cardiff ahead of his move.

The right back had earlier expressed his strong desire to prove his worth in the Premier League and with his contract due to expire in 2014, Derby have decided to cash in on the defender rather than lose him for nothing.

Brayford made his move to Derby in 2010 and has made 109 appearances since then. All of his three goals in a Derby shirt came in the last season.
