Austria Vienna striker cools Everton link

29 July 2013 - 12:50

Austria Vienna striker Philipp Hosiner has tried to cool down rumors linking him with a move to Premier League side Everton this summer.

  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal
  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • The 24 year old, who had a terrific campaign last season with the Austrian club, has claimed that he is very happy at his current club and wants to focus on helping them secure qualification the Champions League group stages.

Everton boss Roberto Martinez has been quiet in the transfer market so far and believes Hosiner could be a perfect addition to the side.

Austria Vienna are looking for a fee around £4.5 million for the striker who is eager to participate in the UEFA Champions League next season.

"At this point in time I would like to have my peace," he told Austrian-based newspaper Osterreich.

"We have an important play-off match coming up and then after that I will listen to all enquiries with my agent.

"After that, we will see if it's worth me leaving such a great club like Austria Vienna."
