Diego Lugano heads to West Brom for transfer talks

Out of favour Paris St Germain centre back Diego Lugano has flown to Birmingham to discuss a potential transfer to West Bromwich Albion. The Uruguay national team captain is desperate to play in the Premier League before he calls time on his career.

  • The 32-year-old joined PSG in 2011 but failed to play as regularly as he first hoped, he was later loaned to Spanish side Malaga in January 2013 and had a successful period with the La Liga side.



    Now he has returned to PSG, who have already stocked up on new players with the arrival of Marquinhos, he has slipped even further down the pecking order at the French side.



    WBA have reportedly made a 1.5 million Euro offer that has been accepted.
