Lisandro Lopez joins Al-Gharafa

Lyon forward Lisandro Lopez has completed a transfer to Qatari side Al-Gharafa. The 30-year-old Argentinian forward had been linked with a move to the Premier League but has decided to join the ambitious Qatari side instead.

  • With only one year left on the player's deal, the club were eager to sell on the player to another team to stop him from leaving on a free next year.



    It is understood that Lopez decided to quit Lyon for what has been called "personal reasons".



    “I’m sad to lose a man like Lisandro,” Lyon's coach Remi Garde said. “His departure is significant but we have to respect it.”
