Schalke 04 defender Benedikt Howedes has expressed his desire of leaving the Bundesliga to ply his trade elsewhere in a new league in the future.
The 25-year-old centre-back has notched up 200 appearances for the German side upto now, having come through the club's youth academy.
Howedes told Eins Live : "I am definitely able to imagine playing for a foreign club at one point in time.
"I would learn a new language, get acquainted with a new culture. This is something that might happen. Still, I am a Schalke player and am not out for a shock move. I will absolutely fulfil my commitment to Schalke 04."
Howedes' current deal with The Miners expires in 2017.
