Curtis Davies believes that Moustapha Salifou can have a successful future at Aston Villa. The Togo international joined on transfer deadline day from FC Wil, and Davies has spoken of how impressed he is with the player.

  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • "He's got an eye for goal and hopefully he can do that soon for the first team," Curtis Davies said. "He's certainly impressed the lads.

"I've seen how he's developing in training and I know what he's got. Once he adapts a bit more to the pace of the game here in England, he could do well.

"Playing for the reserves is a bit different to the hustle and bustle of Premier League football, but he looks a good addition.

"We saw in the last game that he can pass and he doesn't mind shooting from any distance.

"He's very strong - deceptively so actually. People look at him and think he's small, but he doesn't get pushed off the ball too easily."
