Watford to re-sign Nathaniel Chalobah on loan?

06 September 2013 - 15:28

Watford manager Gianfranco Zola has insisted that the club could make an attempt to re-sign Chelsea youngster Nathaniel Chalobah on a season-long loan deal when the loan window opens up on Monday.

The 18-year-old who spent last season on loan with the Hornets, has also been linked with Wigan Athletic this summer.

 • After seeing the Hornets fail in a move to sign Tom Carroll from Tottenham Hotspur on transfer deadline day, Zola aims to lure Chalobah to a switch to Vicarage Road for a second season in a row.

Zola told talkSPORT : "We are still looking for players. We will see if there is anything and we will need to work on that. It is the same as Tom Carroll, we will try and attract the players with what we can offer..

"We can't offer what other clubs can offer in terms of money but I think we can attract players. Nathaniel knows what we are and Chelsea know the type of work we do.

"We can still give Nathaniel something to help him develop. So I am relying on this and we'll see what we can do."
