Former Arsenal forward Jay Simpson rejects move to Gaziantepspor

Former Arsenal &nbsp;forward Jay Simpson has turned down a switch to Turkish club Gaziantepspor, as per Sky Sports.<br /><br />Simpson is currently a free agent following his release from Hull City Tigers this summer.&nbsp; The 24-year-old was reportedly close to sealing a two year deal with&nbsp;Gaziantepspor&nbsp;until talks fell through.<br /><br />He has now returned to England to consider his options, as a number of foreign clubs are currently interested in acquiring his services.<br /><br />Simpson's agent Leon Callander told Sky Sports News :&nbsp;"<em>The interest in Jay is high.</em>

  • <em>"He does like the idea of playing abroad, and that is why we had the talks in Turkey, but things were not quite right.</em><br /><br /><em>"We will be assessing the options over the coming days and see what is best for him."</em><br /><br />Simpson made 86 first-team appearances for the Tigers since his move from Arsenal in 2010.
