Leeds United manager Brian McDermott has insisted that he is fully committed to his role with the Championship club, following reports linking him with the Republic of Ireland vacancy.
The Ireland Football Association are reportedly considering the option of acquiring the services of the ex-Reading manager as their head coach, following Giovanni Trapattoni's release from the job.
According to the Leeds' Twitter account, McDermott revealed today of his pride to be linked with the role, but he also expressed his desire to stay at Elland Road.
The 52-year-old was also quoted saying that ex-Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill would be the perfect choice for the job.
