Hannover desperate to tie down Diouf at club

16 September 2013 - 15:50

Bundesliga side Hannover are desperate to tie down striker Mame Biram Diouf on a long term contract at the club following an impressive season at the club.

 • Chelsea to spend £325m on six signings under Xabi Alonso
 • Chelsea to sign £50m goalkeeper to replace Sanchez?
 • The former Manchester United striker has managed to score 20 goals for the German club since moving back in January, 2012 and has attracted interest from a host of other English clubs this summer. With his present contract due to run out next summer, Hannover are trying hard to tie him down at the club for a long term contract.
Hannover boss Mirko Slomka told Sport1: "Dirk Dufner [General manager] is busy with those negotiations.
"He is trying to keep Mame Biram Diouf at our club for longer than the end of the season.
"I think we have strong arguments to convince him to sign a new long-term contract at our club. I am confident."
