Crystal Palace defender Kagisho Dikgacoi insists that strict action should be taken against divers

17 September 2013 - 15:10

Crystal Palace defender Kagisho Dikgacoi has become the latest player to ask for strict action against divers.

  • Chelsea ready to pay €75m for Eduardo Camavinga
  • Chelsea planning move for Strasbourg striker Joaquin Panichelli

  • The 28-year-old was sent-off during the Eagles’ 2-0 defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford.

During the match, Ashley Young had clearly faked a foul in the penalty box which led to the sending of Dikgacoi.

Dikgacoi told The Independent: “I agree that there should be a chance to take some action [afterwards.

"This has created a bad vibe after the game because it is making things difficult for the referee.

"I think [Jon Moss] knew that if he had said Young dived then it would have meant a second yellow card and he would have been sent off. It was a hard position for him to be put in.

"I saw [Young] afterwards but I wasn't going to go and say anything. He was going down too easily during the game and I think everyone knew it."
