Brazil international Alexander Pato has revealed he rejected offers from multiple clubs this summer in favor of staying with his current club Corinthians this summer.
The 24 year old moved to the South American club earlier this year and has been in good goalscoring form for them having scored seven times in eighteen outings. His goalscoring prowess has attracted the attention of several clubs in Europe with Tottenham believed to have made a last minute bid for the striker.
However, Pato admitted that he turned them down as he opted to stay at Corinthians and help them fight for a place in the Copa Libertadores.
"I received offers, they called Corinthians, sent a fax, to sign me in the window, but I sat down with the staff, talked with my agent and I told them I wanted to stay," he told Sportv.
"I wanted to help Corinthians fight for a place in Libertadores."
