Oscar expects Chelsea to bounce back from their Champions League defeat

Oscar expects Chelsea to bounce back from their Champions League defeat

19 September 2013 - 13:50

Chelsea midfielder Oscar has insisted that the team should get back to winning ways following their opening group stage Champions League encounter against Basel.

  • Chelsea join Liverpool & Man Utd in race to sign 26yo
  • Barcelona identify Arsenal midfielder as key transfer target

  • The West London outfit lost 2-1 to the Swiss champions Basel , having led at the half time interval thanks to the Brazilian's breakthrough.

Oscar told reporters : "We played well in the first half and at the start of the second, but we conceded a goal that destabilised the team and then fell behind.

"It happens, but we do have to make up for it in the next game with a win. The system worked well today, but the ball just would not go in the net; we hit the bar, [Eden] Hazard went close. We had plenty of chances to make it 2-0 but ended up losing."
