Federico Macheda has admitted that he made the right decision to join Doncaster Rovers on loan from Premier League champions Manchester United.

Macheda was allowed to leave the Red Devils having fallen down the pecking order, and the Italian believes that he has been given a great opportunity to impress with the Championship outfit.<br /><br />The 22-year-old told the Doncaster Star: <em>"I had a few offers in the Championship and abroad as well. But I think that the right move for me was to go in the Championship and to a team that was very keen on me and that is why I came here."<br /><br />"I have waited a long time for this. It is a great opportunity for me. Paul Dickov has been the main reason I have come here, he convinced me of the club's ambition. It is an ambitious club and I am looking forward to playing."</em>
