Kevin Keen deflated by West Bromwich Albion's league cup exit

26 September 2013 - 13:19

West Bromwich Albion's assistant manager Kevin Keen has shown his disappointment over the Baggies defeat to Arsenal in the Capital One Cup yesterday.

  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs
  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • The Baggies lost the match on penalties at The Hawthorns, and assistant coach Keen believes that the Midlands club must get over it as they face Manchester United in the Premier League on Saturday.

He told the club's official website: "I think over the 90 minutes we probably just about shaded it and over the 120 we definitely shaded it.

"To come away without going through to the next round is rather deflating – and the lads are disappointed. I think on the night we were the better team. We have to pick ourselves up and get ready for Old Trafford on Saturday.

"You have to give Arsenal a little bit of credit for their resilience throughout, but if you look at the saves Luke [Daniels] had to make there weren't too many. It's really frustrating we can't get a cup run going."
