Sunderland striker Steven Fletcher has been ruled out of first team action for atleast six weeks having suffered from a shoulder injury.
The Scottish forward who has recently made his comeback from a lengthy spell on the sidelines, dislocated his shoulder in the final few minutes of the Black Cats' 3-0 defeat to West Bromwich Albion last weekend.
Fletcher's injury would surely add a further blow to the Black Cats' aim to stay clear of the relegation fight, having already seen the sacking of Paolo Di Canio last Sunday.
Sunderland are currently placed last in the Premier League table.
