Barcelona coach Gerardo Martino confirmed reports that Mexican midfielder Jonathan Dos Santos would be heading away from the Nou Camp on loan. The central midfielder has yet to force his way into Martino's first team plans.
Real Sociedad had been linked with a move for Dos Santos after their midfielder Esteban Granero sustained a serious injury at the beginning of this season.
“That is a matter we talked about at the start of the season,” Barcelona manager Martino said of Dos Santos. “We talked with Jonathan and that came up again with Granero’s injury. Until now there is no news on that. I would like to see what his opinion on this is. I am just talking about this now, nothing new has happened. But I do not rule out it happening.”
