Wigan manager Owen Coyle keen on signing Park Chu-Young on loan

17 October 2013 - 13:10

Wigan Athletic manager Owen Coyle has expressed his intentions to sign Arsenal forward Park Chu-Young on loan.

  • Chelsea told to pay £42m to sign Pep Chavarria
  • Chelsea also want to sign Man Utd midfield target
  • The talented South Korean International has not succeeded in making it to the Arsenal first team, having made a solitary substitute appearance for the club since his switch from Monaco in 2011, and spent last season on loan with La Liga outfit Celta Vigo.

Coyle has revealed that the Latics have made a loan offer for the player with the North London outfit, but admitted that the player's wages would be an issue when securing the short-term deal.

Park Chu-Young scored three goals for Celta Vigo in the La Liga last season.
