Newcastle United defender Paul Dummett is reportedly set to sign a long-term contract with the North-East club, as per Shields Gazette.
The 22-year-old was key to the Magpies 2-2 draw against Liverpool on Saturday at St.James Park as he gave his side a 2-1 lead following his arrival from the substitutes' bench.
According to Shields Gazette, the Magpies are keen to keep hold of Dummett on a lon term basis and have begun preliminary talks over a new contract.
Dummett signed a one-year deal at St James' Park last summer following his loan switch at Scottish outfit St Mirren.
