English defender Luke Shaw has reaffirmed his long-term commitment to Southampton, by insisting that he has no interest in leaving the club in the near future.
The 18-year-old defender is considered as one of the brightest talents to have emerged from the Saints academy, and is tipped to be a star player for England in the future. <br /><br />Shaw had signed a new five year contract with the South Coast club in the summer, having been a subject of transfer speculation during the summer transfer window.<br />
With Manchester United and Chelsea being regularly linked with the services of the teenage left-back, Shaw has insisted that his future remains with the Saints. <br /><br />"I don't really take notice of things that are written about me - it is frustrating at times, but I just laugh it off," Shaw said. "They(media) should know that I've signed a contract at Southampton and I'm not even thinking about moving. I am happy at Southampton because I'm playing football, which is exactly what I want to be doing"<br /><br />
