Leon Andreasen hints at Hannover contract extension

17 November 2013 - 06:07

Hannover midfielder Leon Andreasen, who remains a target for both Everton and Newcastle, has suggested that he may well sign a new deal with the Bundesliga side.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • The defensive midfielder has attracted the attentions of several Premier League teams with a series of combative displays at the heart of Hannover's midfield. Andreasen admitted recently that he is flattered to have been linked with a move to England, but staying in Germany remains his priority.

Andreasen also revealed that Hannover want to keep him and extend his current deal that will expire at the end of this current season.

The player quipped: "Hannover have told me that they would like to extend, but that is all I know.

"It is not because I want to try something new and therefore, I do hope they give me a good offer which we don't need to negotiate for long. Therefore, my agent is talking with them and we will move on from there."

Newcastle and Everton are hoping that the player will delay discussions until the New Year, as both teams will be free to talk to the player on January 1st.
