Fulham striker Berbatov is reportedly desperate to leave the West London outfit in January, according to The Mirror.

  • Chelsea join Liverpool & Man Utd in race to sign 26yo
  • Barcelona identify Arsenal midfielder as key transfer target

  • Having seen Martin Jol being sacked during the weekend, new manager Rene Meulensteen had claimed that he would get the best out of the Bulgarian.

However, the former Manchester United star Berbatov does not want to spend the rest of the season battling relegation and is hopeful of leaving the Premier League strugglers during the New Year.

Turkish club Trabzonspor have already shown interest in signing the talented 32-year-old, whose contract with Fulham is set to expire at the end of the season.

Fulham are currently placed 18th in the Premier League table.
