Sone Aluko signs new deal at Hull City

03 January 2014 - 16:46

Hull City forward Sone Aluko has apparently signed a new two-and-a-half-year deal with the club.

  • Chelsea ready to pay €75m for Eduardo Camavinga
  • Chelsea planning move for Strasbourg striker Joaquin Panichelli

  • The 24-year-old Nigerian international, who is currently out of action with an Achilles injury signed the contract extension with the Tigers, which will keep him with the Premier League minnows until the summer of 2016.

Aluko admitted that he was happy to have sealed a new contract in spite of missing most of the Premier League season due to injury.

"I've said right from the beginning that I was happy here," Aluko said. "I'm glad that it's done, but I never thought that it wouldn't happen. I have to thank the manager and the owners of the club. I would also like to thank my team-mates for helping to make my time here a success."

Aluko joined Hull City from Scottish outfit Rangers in 2012.
