Monaco right back Fabinho attracts Arsenal interest

Arsenal appear to be scouring Europe to find a replacement for Bacary Sagna, with the full back currently yet to sign a new contract at the Emirates. The Gunners' have sent Gilles Grimandi, their scout in France, to prepare a dossier on Brazilian right back Fabinho.

  • The 20-year-old is very highly rated and has impressed in Ligue 1 since joining Monaco on loan from Rio Ave. Arsenal are desperately looking across Europe's top divisions to find a successor for Bacary Sagna and Fabinho, otherwise known as Fabio Tavares, remains an option for the club.



    The player is valued at approximately 12 million Euros by his parent club but Arsenal are concerned that the player's value will rise if he continues to impress in the French top flight.



    Sagna, who has just six months remaining on his Arsenal deal, has also been linked with a move away, with Man Utd surprise candidates for the player's coveted signature.
