Linvoy Primus is looking forward to returning with the Premiership side Portsmouth for their 2007/2008 campaign after having a knee operation performed by American specialist Dr Richard Steadman.
The 34-year-old will be on crutches for at least two months but is hopeful about his pospects afterwards, telling Portsmouth's official website: "The operation seemed to go very well. Mr Steadman was very pleased with how it went.
"It has been a frustrating time for me, especially after last season which was fantastic."
Primus had an impressive season for Portsmouth during the 2006/07 campaign where Pompey were only denied a European place on the final day of league action.
