Chelsea winger wants to stay at Sevilla

14 January 2014 - 14:01

Chelsea winger Marko Marin wants to stay at Sevilla longer than the period of his loan. The German had a terrible time at Stamford Bridge last season where he suffered from Injury and lack of form.

  • Chelsea transfer update on Maxence Lacroix
  • England star to join Chelsea in two-year deal
  • The winger has been asked about staying at the Southern Spain side and he says that there have been other enquiries about him as well.

Speaking to the German newspaper Bild, he said,

“As things stand now, I am supposed to (go back), but I've had so many enquiries.

“Sevilla want me to stay, but that's not a decision only they can make. I would like to stay too because I really like it here, but in the end, it's up to Chelsea what happens.

“What matters now is that I get fully fit again.

“When I am fit, then we want to reach for the top. We are within touching distance of Champions League qualification and that is our goal. We've got the quality for it.”

The 24 year old moved to Chelsea in 2012 from German club Werder Bremen.
