Arsenal set to sign Slovenian starlet?

Arsenal are understood to be monitoring the progress of Slovenia's star midfielder, with a view to securing his services this month.

  • Red Bull Salzburg midfield star Kevin Kampl has apparently triggered interest from Premier League giants Arsenal, according to Slovenian newspaper Ekipa.



    The talented 23-year-old has been one of the most influential players for the Austrian outfit this season, having notched up 10 goals in 27 appearances so far.



    The former Bayer Leverkusen youngster, who has been linked with a host of top European clubs in the transfer window, revealed of his dream to play for the Gunners in the future.



    "England has its own charm and London is a unique place," Kampl said. "There's also Arsenal, the club that I like very much because of their style of football.



    "Sometimes when I watch their games, I close my eyes and dream of how it would be if I was there playing for them.This certainly is a dream and I hope that one day it will come true for me which is why I'm always giving my all during training sessions."



    Kampl has been capped 9 times by the Slovenian national side.
