Dortmund capture Sunderland striker

Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund have announced the signing of Sunderland striker JI-Dong Won. The striker will join the club when his contract with the Black cats runs out.

  • JI-Dong has struggled with Sunderland and joined German side Augsburg on a loan deal till the end of the season.<br />

    Sunderland back in the summer turned down a bid of £5m from Dortmund when Paolo Di Canio was in charge at the club.<br />

    Speaking on the signing of the South Korean International Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc said,<br />

    “Ji Dong-won is someone who can play in a variety of attacking positions,”<br />

    “We’re delighted to have been able to sign such a talented player on a free for next season.”
