Stoke City are lining up a move for Sunderland captain Lee Cattermole. According to Stoke Sentinel the Potters will bid £5 million for the midfielder.

  • Arsenal want to make four marquee signings this summer

  • Cattermole, a hard man in the midfield would provide much needed steel to the Stoke midfield.

The 25 year old has been sent off seven times in his career and the fans may have reservations, although he has only been sent off once in last three years.

Should the deal go through Cattermole will join the likes of Rory Delap, Danny Higginbotham, Dean Whitehead and Kenwyne Jones who swapped Stadium of Light for the Britannia Stadium.
