Cardiff City have signed Juan Cala from Sevilla on a Bosman transfer after the La Liga outfit terminated his contract earlier on Saturday.
The 24-year-old, who has made 19 appearances for the La Liga outfit this season, had his contract cancelled after he refused to accept a new contract extension.
Cala becomes the Bluebirds' seventh signing under new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Welsh club are currently placed 19th in the Premier League with 21 points, having come from behind to beat fellow strugglers Norwich City by a 2-1 margin at home yesterday.
