Bundesliga outfit Borussia Monchengladbach have confirmed the signing of Hoffenheim defender Fabian Johnson. The 26 year old will join the Foals as a free agent after he decided not to renew his contract with Hoffenheim.

  • The former Wolfsburg man will a sign a four year deal at Borussia Park.

This is what Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl had to say about the American international,

"Fabian Johnson is a very interesting player who is available on a free transfer,"

"He can play on both sides of the pitch, both in defence and attack and we're delighted he has chosen to join us."

The former German youth international has played 15 games this season and provided one assist which incidentally came against Gladbach in this weekend’s 2-2 draw.
