Kyle Naughton ready to quit Tottenham

27 February 2014 - 07:58

Tottenham right back Kyle Naughton has told reporters that he is ready to quit the club in the summer as he searches for regular first team football. Naughton has so far struggled for first team game time under manager Tim Sherwood.

  • Naughton has been occasionally deployed in a central defensive role but is seemingly unhappy with Sherwood's preference to play other players at right back.

Naughton told reporters: "I am 25 and there is a stage that you reach when you think, ‘Well, am I going to be No 1?’

"That is what I am looking for. I want to be playing every single week. I want to be playing regularly. I am not sure what is going to happen, but if I can’t hold down a first-team spot then I do have to look elsewhere."
