Liverpool are reportedly keen on signing Real Madrid defender Fabio Coentrao in the summer, according to The People.
The report claims that the Reds are on the lookout for a new left-back who could provide stiff competition to Jose Enrique, as they are likely to play in the Champions League next season.
Having been linked with the likes of Juan Bernat and Marcos Rojo in recent weeks, the Reds have switched their attention towards the former Benfica man, who looks set to leave Los Blancos at the end of the current campaign.
Liverpool would have to pay a fee of around £11.5 million to secure the services of the Portuguese international.
