Gyan: close to City move

27 November 2007 - 20:28

Asamoah Gyan has insisted that he is close to being ready to move to Man City from current club Udinese. Gyan could be set for a summer transfer move rather than a January one, and is believed to be very highly rated by Sven-Goran Eriksson.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao
  • Gyan is quoted in The Sun as saying: "I'm aware that Manchester City have nearly completed negotiations with my club, so hopefully I will be playing in England next season."

Gyan joined Udinese in 2003 from Liberty Professionals and the president of his former club Alhaji Sly Tetteh claims he will be leaving the Italian side.

Gyan is valued at over £5m by the Italian side.
