Liverpool keen on signing Cardiff City skipper

Liverpool have reportedly shown interest in securing the services of Cardiff City captain Steven Caulker this summer, according to The Mail.

  • Juventus and Napoli enter race for Chelsea winger
  • Felix Nmecha linked with Chelsea move

  • Cardiff City were relegated to the Championship last weekend, following their 3-1 defeat at Newcastle United.

The England international has been in good form for the Bluebirds this season, despite their failure to remain in the top tier, and The Mail claims that the Reds are ready to trigger a relegation release clause in the 22-year-old's contract, which would allow him to move to the Merseyside giants during the summer transfer window.

Caulker has recently stated of his desire to stay with the Welsh club and fight for promotion to the Premier League in the first coming.
