St Etienne forward Mevlut Erding has been linked with a move to England. Everton manager Roberto Martinez is preparing a list of replacements for Romelu Lukaku, who is expected to return to parent club Chelsea.

Erding, who currently plays for St Etienne in Ligue 1, has been linked with a move to England several times in the past three years but has so far opted to remain in France. It is understood that the Toffees are ready to spend 6. 5 million to bring the 27-year-old to England and are confident they can wrap up a deal before the World Cup begins.
