Spanish coach Pepe Mel has parted company with West Bromwich Albion. The manager joined the club mid-season replacing Steve Clarke but has struggled to reverse the fortunes of the club.
Mel signed an 18 month contract in January and won only three games of his 17 that he was in charge of, but those three would be vital as he ensured the club's safety in the top flight this year.
Sporting director at WBA Richard Garlick said of Mel: "We would like to thank Pepe for his efforts over the past four months in helping to keep the club in the Premier League and wish him well for the future."
