Australia touch down in Brazil

Tommy Oar: we're here as under dogs

Australia touch down in Brazil

29 May 2014 - 08:47

Australia's World Cup squad have the privilege of being the first team to have arrived in Brazil ahead of the summer tournament.

  • Juventus and Napoli enter race for Chelsea winger
  • Felix Nmecha linked with Chelsea move

  • Australia are widely tipped to be amongst the first teams heading home on a plane back to their home country, but that hasn't stopped them from arriving in South America earlier than everyone else.

On arrival, midfielder Tommy Oar told the media: "We are the underdogs. It will be a good opportunity for the Australian team to surprise, so this is all very exciting. And being in the ‘soccer country’ is an extra motivation, of course."
