Sunderland are to make a move to complete the signing of Wigan midfielder Jordi Gomez. The 29-year-old has put pen to paper on a three year deal with the Premier League side.

A statement on Sunderland's website read: "Sunderland AFC has confirmed that Spanish midfielder Jordi Gomez has agreed a three-year deal at the Stadium of Light and will become a Sunderland player from July 1."
