Reports on Friday morning suggest that Manchester United are ready to part company with Michael Carrick this summer. The England international has been apparently deemed surplus to requirements by Lous Van Gaal.
The Dutch manager has been in contact with Carrick already since agreeing to join Manchester United and is apparently ready to let Carrick move club.
Premier League teams are known to have shown some interest in the midfielder, with former club Tottenham amongst the sides ready to make a bid.
Sunderland have also apparently made an enquiry for Carrick, who would be a backup in United's squad next season.
