Newcastle to wrap up Ayoze Perez transfer

Newcastle will wrap up a 2 million Euro transfer for Spanish striker Ayoze Perez next week. The Tenerife forward has been tracked by the St James' Park side's scouts for over six months.

Ayoze Perez has spent his whole career in Tenerife, working his way through into the islanders' squad in 2012 and last season helping his club almost fight their way to promotion back to La Liga.

The 5 foot 10 forward scored 14 goals in 42 games for the Segunda Division side and Newcastle have apparently already agreed a fee with Perez's club.

The player will link up with his new squad in July.
