Real Sociedad star Carlos Vela looks unlikely to return to Arsenal, according to a report.
The Gunners sold the talented striker to Sociedad in the summer of 2012, and reports had revealed that the North London club would retain the Mexican international this summer by triggering his £3.3m buy-back clause.
According to The Times, the 25-year-old will remain with the La Liga outfit, after Arsenal agreed to sell their stake in the player for £8.8m.
Adding to this, the Gunners could get an additional £4m, based on the number of appearances, Vela makes for Sociedad.
Vela scored 20 goals in all competitions for Sociedad last season.
