Lazio and Germany international striker Miroslav Klose is not for sale, despite the rumoured interest of numerous teams across Europe. It is also understood that at least three Middle Eastern teams want to sign the World Cup record breaking forward.

  • Klose, who scored a goal in the 7-1 rout of Brazil yesterday, has become the top scoring forward of World Cup history and his performances - despite his experienced age of 36 - have attracted several clubs.

Lazio have denied the player for sale, and the club president insists that Klose would not be allowed to leave on the cheap.

"Now we have a champion who has scored the most goals in a World Cup," said Lazio president Claudio Lotito.

"In order to receive offers for a player, he must be placed on the market and Klose is not for sale."
