Babatunde weighs up Sunderland offer

Michel Babatunde, one of Nigeria's most impressive players at the 2014 World Cup, has told reporters that Sunderland are amongst the teams that want to buy him this summer.

Babatunde is known to have been monitored by several scouts from Spain and England, but the midfielder told Nigerian media that Sunderland are the first to have formally contacted him: "I have received several offers from different places, but I'm interested in the one from Sunderland."

Sunderland will be required to pay around 2.75 million GBP to sign the player.
