England international midfielder Frank Lampard is expected to announce a transfer to MLS side New York FC next week.

The former Chelsea midfielder is currently unattached and has been locked in talks with teams from the MLS, Qatar and from the UAE.

However, Lampard has been impressed with the American club's efforts to sign him and has agreed a two year deal to move to the States. Lampard will link up with Spain international David Villa at his new team.
