Liverpool are reportedly interested in securing the services of Lazio forward Keita Balde Diao, according to The Mirror.

The 19-year-old, who joined Lazio from the famous La Masia academy in 2011, made his debut for the Serie A side in 2013.

However, the talented youngster is understood to be unhappy with life in Italy, and is seeking a switch to a new league in the next transfer window.

A report from The Mirror claims that the Reds will make a move for Keita when the transfer window reopens in the New Year, but are likely to face fierce competition from several European clubs.

Liverpool are currently ninth in the Premier League table.
