Sunderland are pondering over a temporary move for Barcelona youngster Alen Halilovic, according to The Mail.
The 18-year-old Croatian international signed a five-year deal with the reserve side at Barca over the summer.
The Mail reports that the club's coaching staff believed the talented youngster is ready to step up to the next level by making a loan switch to a top tier club.
In addition to this, it is understood that Sunderland are interested in securing the player's services on a six-month loan deal when the transfer window reopens in January.
